In an effort to create an even safer environment for all of our Gemini Dogs, we are upgrading our Staff Training Programs and adding Employee Benefits so that we can attract and retain more quality staff (as well as hold on to the great staff we already have!). 

The Staff Training Program changes will include: 

  • Updating our staff training tools and resources. We want to ensure that our staff has the most up-to-date and relevant information on dog body language and playgroup management. 
  • Involving Certified Professional Dog Trainers in the training of our Daycare/Boarding Staff to increase their knowledge on a variety of dog topics. 

Employee benefits will include: 

  • Increased Wages 
  • Health Insurance 
  • 401(k)

By improving our staff benefits and expanding our training, we hope to appeal to employees who intend to make a career in the animal care industry and will remain employed with Gemini Dogs for years to come. We have several employees who have been with us for 5 years or more (and some who have even been here for 15+ years!). Our goal is to continue that trend of supporting the progress of our employees in the field of animal care, including cross-training, so that they receive a well-rounded education and certifications in addition to having a great job! 

In order to make these exciting changes, we will be raising our prices effective October 1st. This increase will enable us to provide your dogs with an even higher quality of care and allow us to continue to offer the flexible hours we are known for, while maintaining a high ratio of staff to dogs. 

We sincerely appreciate your continuing support of our family business and are pleased to have so many new dog families join us in the last few months. We would love to expand our family even more, while continuing and exceeding that same quality of care that you've come to expect from us.

New Pricing

Overnight Boarding: We have taken the feedback that we have received over the years and are changing our boarding pricing structure. Instead of a different price for dogs who participate in playgroups versus dogs who do not, all dogs will pay the same price per night for boarding. All dogs can participate in playgroups at no extra charge (unless your dog is unable to participate or you choose to opt out of playtime). Dogs that do not go out in groups will instead receive individual attention from staff members. We will continue our practice of not charging extra for administering medications or special requests; we do not believe in charging additional fees for necessary care.

All current/ongoing boarding reservations will be honored at the existing pricing structure, if requested. New reservations will be billed with the new pricing.

Doggie Daycare: Daycare prices will increase by $2. All pre-paid packages will be rolled over and the difference in pricing will be billed either on, or shortly after, October 1st. (This means that dogs who currently have a package will be charged $2 times the number of days remaining on that package as of checkout on September 30). This line item will be reflected on the invoice as a Pro-Rated Amount Due for Packages.
