CGC and Therapy Dog Prep Course

If your dog has good manners, sign up for this CGC and Therapy Dog prep course!

Or if you've already prepared for it, sign up to take the test! Call us to get on a list for when our next CGC test is being offered. Test fee is $15. Taking the test is a great way to figure out what areas your dog needs more training in...why not try it? Who knows, your dog might even surprise you!

The CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs.

The CGC and Therapy Dog Prep Course focuses on practicing and perfecting the CGC Test Items, and will be followed by a CGC Test Night. The purpose of the program is to ensure that our favorite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community. To receive the CGC certificate, dogs must pass a 10-item Canine Good Citizen Test. All dogs who pass the CGC test will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club and will be automatically recorded in the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Archive. The AKC sends out a high-quality certificate that can be framed and proudly displayed.

All breeds welcome (including mixed breeds)!
