The Fido Flex Plan
Great
for dogs of any age, the Fido Flex Plan is designed to help the
busy family get started on creating a well-mannered dog that is
a joy to be around; and it enables you to do so with a degree of
flexibility not found in a regular obedience class.
- New classes start every Tuesday at 6:00pm; all classes will
be held on a Tuesday evening, with the time advancing as needed.
Classes are held at 6:00pm, and if the enrollment warrants additional
space, then the more advanced students will be asked to start
attending at 7:00pm.
- $260 for a 16-week time period - Includes a clicker, complete
training manual, and one free day in our doggie daycare. The clock
starts on the first day you attend class; for example, if you
start on January 4th, your time runs out 16 weeks later
on April 19th. You can come as many times as you'd like until
then!
Once your 16-weeks is up:
How does the Fido Flex Plan differ from our regular classes?
With the Fido Flex Plan, you can:
-
Start attending classes with your dog immediately; there
is no need to wait for the next session to begin. New Flex classes
start every Tuesday at 6:00pm.
-
Attend class whenever you're available without feeling like you've fallen behind because you missed a week or two. (Take that vacation guilt-free!) Even if your attendance is sporadic, there is no pressure to "catch-up" to the rest of the class. This option enables random participation at your convenience.
- Progress through the beginner training at your own speed, and
advance to the next level when you and your instructor agree that
your pooch is ready. In some cases, if you take full advantage
of the program, your instructor may even bump you up a level and
let you effectively skip over level two obedience!
How does it work?
Timeline for the Fido Flex Plan:
-
You must pre-register and pre-pay so that we know
to expect you in class.
-
Please note that you should not feed your
dog within 4 hours of attending any class.
-
Please note that we do not allow extendable
leashes (flexis) on our premises due to safety concerns.
You must bring your dog in on a regular nylon/leather/cloth
leash.
-
Attendance in a human-students-only orientation
session is suggested (nut not required) prior to attending the
Flex class with your dog. To locate the next orientation session,
simply look at the start dates for our Beginner Obedience classes.
-
At your first Flex class, your instructor will
mark your attendance. Your attendance record will be kept on
file at Gemini and is valid for 16 weeks from that original
start date. Each Tuesday, your instructor will mark your attendance,
and the clock does "tick" in your absence. However,
if your dog becomes ill or you have reason to be unable to attend
for a period of weeks, talk to the instructor about suspending
your Flex session until your dog feels better.
-
At the end of your allotted time period, the staff
will contact you to see if you would like to continue with your
dog's training. At that time, you can go on to a regular Level
Two session (or possibly above, if the instructor tells you
otherwise).
