The Fido Flex Plan

Great for dogs of any age, the Fido Flex Plan is designed to help the busy family get started on creating a well-mannered dog that is a joy to be around; and it enables you to do so with a degree of flexibility not found in a regular obedience class.

  • New classes start every Tuesday at 6:00pm; all classes will be held on a Tuesday evening, with the time advancing as your skills advance. Classes are held at 6:00pm, then 7:00pm, then 8:00pm.
  • $260 for a 16-week time period - Includes a clicker, complete training manual, and one free day in our doggie daycare. The clock starts on the first day you attend class; for example, if you start on January 4th, your time runs out 16 weeks later on April 19th. You can come as many times as you'd like until then!

Once your 16-weeks is up:

  • You can add on 4-consecutive- weeks for $65

  • You can add on 8-consecutive-weeks for $130

How does the Fido Flex Plan differ from our regular classes?

With the Fido Flex Plan, you can:

  • Start attending classes with your dog immediately; there is no need to wait for the next session to begin. New Flex 1-2-3 classes start every Tuesday at 6:00pm.

  • Attend class whenever you're available without feeling like you've fallen behind because you missed a week or two. (Take that vacation guilt-free!) Even if your attendance is sporadic, there is no pressure to "catch-up" to the rest of the class. This option enables random participation at your convenience.

  • Progress through each level of training at your own speed, and advance to the next level when you and your instructor agree that your pooch is ready.

How does it work?

Timeline for the Fido Flex Plan:

  • You must pre-register and pre-pay.

  • Please note that you should not feed your dog within 4 hours of attending any class. Also, please note that we do not allow extendable leashes (flexis) on our premises due to safety concerns. You must bring your dog in on a regular nylon/leather/cloth leash.

  • Attendance in a human-students-only orientation session is suggested prior to attending the Flex 1-2-3 class with your dog. However, it is not required. To locate the next orientation session, simply look at the start dates for our Beginner Obedience classes.

  • At your first Flex 1-2-3 class, you will sign in on your Fido Flex Plan attendance record. Your attendance record will be kept on file at Gemini and is valid for 16 weeks from that original start date. Each time you attend a class, you will sign in to record your attendance and your instructor will then make notes about your progress.

  • For Flex 1-2-3 students, the instructor will "graduate" you to the next level as you advance your skills. The time you attend Flex 1-2-3 classes changes as you advance your level of training.

  • You are welcome to return to a lower flex level at any time if you feel that you need a refresher.

  • You may attend multiple flex levels at one time.

  • At the end of your allotted time period, the staff will contact you to see if you would like to continue with your dog's training. At that time, you can go on to a regular Level Two session.

What are the prerequisites for the Obedience Flex Series?

  • Pre-registration and pre-payment.

  • Dogs must be at least 2 months of age to join.

  • Verification of vaccinations (DHLPP for all dogs, and Rabies for dogs over 6 months).

Listed below are the session days and times for the Fido Flex Plan obedience training series.

You will be progressing through each of the levels below at your own pace. For example, you would attend for a few weeks on Tuesdays at 6:00pm, then "graduate" to the 7:00pm class, and finally "graduate" to the 8:00pm class.

Upon completion of all three skill sets in the Flex 1-2-3 program, you are considered a graduate of our Beginner Obedience class and may register for Level Two Obedience. Upon completion of that class, you may register for Off-Leash/Agility Prep, Beginner Agility, or Rally-O.
